Sammy question!

It's probably been talked about somewhere before but I was reading a fic tonight and this question popped into my head and now it wont leave me alone...if Sam got his wish 'verse like Dean did in WIAWNB, if a Djinn gave him his wish, what would it be? Would he wish for Mary to never have died or would it be something else...and don't count season three because of course Sam would wish that Dean never sold his soul, so if the Djinn took Sam in that episode instead of Dean (we'll use that time frame) what 'verse would he have landed in?

Personally I don't think it would be a 'Mary didn't die' 'verse. Sam didn't know Mary at all so I'm not sure his brain would automatically go there. I think something like they never started hunting, or they had a normal life or something like that would come up first. *shrugs* I might be wrong.

I think that he'd whish that his girlfriend (sorry, I tried so hard to remember her name, but somehow my brains seems to fight against that *lol*) would never have died.

Jess! :D Yeah I could see that as being his wish. *nods* He loved her enough to want to marry her.

It's not one I'd be happy with though. LOL if Jess never died he and Dean may never have reconnected, it would be so depressing. :(

That's what I thought too! I feel sorry for Jess. But the relationship between the guys would never be the same if she'd still be alive! And this would be more than sad! :o(

I agree. I don't think it would be a Mary wish either for exactly the same reason you said. He was too young to remember what it was like before Mary died so why would he wish for something he never knew.

I think it would be a John wish but I'm not really sure what. Something like 'I wish we got on better' or 'I wish he never started hunting'.

I don't know... My first thought was that he'd wish for Jess and law school so that he could have that "normal" life (I guess that would mean his life would be the way he was in Dean's version).

But, he could have wished that Dad never gave him that .45 when he was 9, that maybe he and Dean could have grown up playing soccer and going to summer camp.

Really, I think it would simply be a life where he and Dean both got what they really wanted. He'd be a lawyer and doing his whole law thingamajig, Dean would have a wife and kids, maybe be a firefighter. They'd just plain be normal which is what thy both want to some degree.

Yeah, I think Sam's would probably be for a normal life. But now I would love a fic where Sam wants a normal life and like in Dean's world, he and Dean aren't close. So you've got a Sam following Dean around and Dean being like "WTF dude"

I agree, that Sam wouldn't have wished for Mary to be back because he didn't really know her. I think he would have wished to have been closer to his dad, and that they never went hunting, and that they got to have a more normal childhood. But I think it would end up much like Dean's with the tow of them not being close and Sam knowing he had to get out of it to be with his brother.
